One of Canada's best known woodworkers and do-it-yourself gurus, Ryan is a Master Woodworker, Designer and 'Do It Yourself' expert who hails from the shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario.
Ryan is an award-winning writer/columnist with over 200 published articles in multiple publications, a Contributing Editor/Pro at Canadian Home Workshop magazine, and a columnist/regular contributor for several other publications including Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement, Cottage Life, and Outdoor Canada Magazine. Ryan has been practicing his craft for more than 15 years, and actively works to promote and encourage new people, both children and adults alike, to "get their hands dirty" and jump into a project through his articles and instruction, speaking engagements, seminars and television appearances.
Ryan's "real world" approach to both woodworking and home improvement offers something for people of all skill levels, and he believes that people should feel comfortable working within their skills-set while they strive to improve, even if they are just starting out.
